Stress is a normal part of life and it can be a super motivator. Sometimes our stress can be small and easy to manage, other times it can be too much to handle. We know it can be hard to know what to do when feeling super stressed and overwhelmed. The Stress Continuum can help us to identify and understand our own stress. Selfcare plan

We all need to look after ourselves, but sometimes we can forget us or find it hard to do. One way we can look after ourselves is through self-care and what better way to make sure we do this than developing your very own Self-Care plan! Self-Care plans can help to improve mental health and wellbeing and manage our stress. Download the Self-Care Plan and fill it out with what you can do for self-care!

Raising a child without a village

Raising a child takes a village, but what happens when you are living in another country without your village? Lorena knows this all too well as an Argentinian immigrant and mother of two. It can be challenging to find a new community in a new home and doing that while raising a child becomes even more challenging. We know that 1 in 5 new mums and 1 in 10 new dads experience perinatal anxiety and/or depression. Lorena share’s with you how to identify the signs of perinatal mental health concerns and her tips for building a new village when you are away from your own.

Parenting alone & away from home

We know that being a parent is hard work! It’s even harder when you don’t have your support networks around you or are living in a new country. Many of our My Mind My Voice volunteers are no strangers to the challenges of parenting when you are away from your family and home.
