Free resources and online programs for NSW students Years 5-8

In 2020 MIEACT developed online mental health education programs with supporting resources to support ACT students learning from home. As the pandemic environment continues in our community MIEACT engaged experts from NSW education to review program content and resources against the NSW curriculum.

All resource are free and accessible to all Teachers and students.

Mental Health & Me - Years 5-8

An interactive and self directed online program addressing stigma and promoting help seeking with lived experience stories. The program helps students articulate an understanding of and ability to identify mental health concerns in themselves and other and identify strategies to support good mental health and positive self-care. Approximately one hour to complete.

Stress and Me - Year 5-8

Over 2 units, this online self directed program will help students identify ways to respond positively to challenging situations where stress arises using strategies such as early help-seeking and optimistic thinking, to promote health, safety and well-being in relation to stress for themselves and others.
