MIEACT Celebrates Transition with New Board

In a celebration of both impact and fresh beginnings, MIEACT recently welcomed its newly elected Board Directors, marking a significant transition and ushering in a promising chapter for the organisation. The announcement comes with heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Board, whose dedication and leadership played a pivotal role in advancing MIEACT’s mission over recent years, in addressing stigma, increasing mental health knowledge and promoting health seeking. The outgoing Board are praised for their leadership, commitment and resilience, particularly during challenging times. Their collective efforts ensured MIEACT continued to thrive and evolve, fostering impactful initiatives that have left a mark on the community and ensure we are empowering people through education to sustain mental health and wellbeing. MIEACT is excited to welcome our new Board. This incoming group of leaders is set to continue MIEACT’s vision, bringing with them a diverse range of experiences, skills, and fresh perspectives that will drive innovation and meaningful change.

With a full agenda already shaping up for the coming year, priorities for the new board will include expanding MIEACT’s mental health literacy programs, broadening our reach, amplifying outcomes, and enhancing both awareness and funding streams. We're embarking on an inspiring journey to bolster our mental health education initiatives, tackle stigma, deepen mental health knowledge, and foster early help-seeking behaviours within our communities.

This team brings together diverse perspectives and shared goals to drive our mission forward. We can't wait to see the positive change we’ll create together.

And finally, a message from new MIEACT President Sheryle Moon: “I’m thrilled to join MIEACT as President. My experience and passions align with MIEACT’s mission of making a real impact in mental health education. My focus will be on Governance (of course) and also on helping MIEACT grow its business. I am an advocate for growing awareness and use of the DoNOHarm Framework, having completed the course myself alongside 10 Corporate Executives.” We extend our sincere gratitude to the outgoing Board for their dedicated service and steadfast commitment. As we welcome our new Board directors, we look forward with anticipation to a successful and impactful year ahead.
