About the Opportunity
MIEACT is seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our team as Program Helpers and Program Educators to support the delivery of our impactful school-based mental health programs across Canberra and the ACT region. These roles are integral to the successful delivery of MIEACT’s Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) program and our broader CORE school-based programs. A key component of these casual roles is the delivery of MIEACT’s programs in schools. Working closely with our MIEACT staff you will contribute to ensuring seamless program delivery that supports MIEACT’s mission to address stigma, promote help-seeking behaviours, and increase mental health awareness in young people.
What you will bring to the role
You will contribute to the implementation of MIEACT schools-based programs ranging from grade 3 to college across the ACT. As a Program Helper or Educator, you will leverage your strong organisational and planning skills, as well as your oral, interpersonal, and facilitation capabilities, to create a positive and engaging learning environment. By collaborating with schools and community stakeholders, you will help deliver programs that drive meaningful outcomes for students to support their mental health and wellbeing. Your excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills will ensure the effective delivery of our programs.
