What does stress feel like for you?

Stress feels different for everybody.

I am initially not aware of any physical symptoms of stress until I notice that I am becoming irritable, impatient and quite cranky. Then I notice my upset tummy, my stiff neck and shoulders and slight jaw clenching. I also then realize I’m going to the toilet more often than usual.

When I’m stressed everything starts to feel overwhelming, even something as small as getting lunch feels too much. I can feel my body start to tense, my breathing gets quicker and my ability to see things rationally and logically disappears.
